What’s so different about AQUALIPO® RF?

How does AQUALIPO® RF work?

AQUALIPO® RF uses advanced radio frequency to specifically target fat cells.  Using deep, controlled heating, AQUALIPO® RF causes fat cell membranes to disrupt without damaging surrounding tissue, allowing the fatty content to be absorbed by the lymphatic system and eventually eliminated during the body’s natural metabolic process.  To help in this natural elimination, patients should participate in mild exercise and stay well hydrated to help flush the fat from the body.  AQUALIPO® RF is completely non-invasive and pain-free.  Some patients may feel a warm sensation, like a comfortable massage, while others feel little or no sensation during the procedure.  There are no side-effects, and you can return to your normal activities immediately. 

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments will vary depending on how which body areas you want to treat and how much fat you want to lose.  On average, clinical studies show that the total amount of fat removed for every five treatments is about 10 pounds.  Treatments take just 45 minutes each, and you’ll need a minimum of 72 hours between treatments.  Dr. Bassin will discuss with you the best number of treatments to help you achieve the results you seek.

Will the fat come back?

With any fat removal treatment, there’s no guarantee that you won’t gain weight.  The difference will be in where any weight you gain will be distributed.  With other types of liposuction, fat cells are permanently destroyed and removed, so any weight you gain will be distributed disproportionately in other areas of your body.  With AQUALIPO® RF, fat cell volume is reduced, so if you gain weight back, it will be naturally distributed in both treated and untreated areas.  No matter what type of fat removal treatment you have, you should do your part with healthy eating and exercise for the best long-term results.

Can I combine AQUALIPO® Surgical and AQUALIPO® RF?

Yes.  Dr. Bassin has found that patients who combine AQUALIPO® Surgical and AQUALIPO® RF can achieve even better results.
